Panino CRUDO & SCAMORZA Ingredients (Directions in the video Above):

  1. Freshly-baked Ciabatta with Sesame

  2. Prosciutto crudo 

  3. Seasoning: EVOO, Salt, Oregano

  4. Scamorza Cheese

  5. Black Olives

  6. Arugula

  7. Capuliato: EVOO, Sundried Tomatoes, Capers, Salt, Chilli Pepper (all blended)

 

In Italy, Panino is synonimous of:

  1. Freshly baked Bread

  2. High-quality ingredients

  3. Balance.

 

FRESHLY BAKED BREAD

On the contrary of how people usually perceive sandwich or panini abroad, Panino in Italy is synonymous with Gourmet food. In fact, to have a great panino, Fresh and Artisanal Bread is mandatory. Ciabatta, Baguette or Michetta doesn't matter which kind of bread you prefer, what really matter is that Bread MUST be freshly-baked.

 

HIGH-QUALITY INGREDIENTS
What's exciting about Panino is that it is always made of layers of high-quality ingredients. And each Italian region has its own selection of gourmet specialties to stuff Panino with. So if you want to try the best regional food specialties we suggest to try the most famous local Panino.
Prosciutto Crudo is one of the most appreciated ingredients in the world. Even if, Italy offers a great selection of Salumi ( cured meats that are sliced and commonly served as an appetizer in an Italian meal ). Prosciutto cotto, Bresaola, Mortadella and Salame are the most popular.

Then cheese comes and there's quite a lot to choose from. A Sicilian would choose "Caciocavallo Ragusano DOP". A Napoletan would choose Mozzarella Fiordilatte or Burrata. A Sardinian, Tuscanian and Roman would choose Pecorino. And people from North of Italy would want Bra, Fontina or Asiago.
