Sicilian basil pesto with Fusilli
The Sicilian Version of the Famous Basil Pesto
In every Italian Region, there is a variant, made with few different ingredients, depending on what offers the territory.
Sicily is famous to produce the most prestigious Almonds of the world called (Pizzuta di Avola). All almonds that grow in Sicily have naturally a hard shell that protects the fruit from fungus and mycotoxins.

These tomatoes are naturally sweet and once dried they are preserved using the Award Winning (Gold Metal 2018 NY) Extra Virgin Olive Oil made in Italy by Frantoi Cutrera.

3. Sicilian basil Pesto
A deliciously complex gourmet pesto made with fresh Sicilian basil, almonds from Avola, Siclian pistachios, Ragusano cheese, Sicilian red garlic, Sicilian sea salt and Frantoi Cutrera’s Gran Cru Tonda Iblea extra virgin olive oil. Excellent for bruschetta and also for pasta such as trofie, penne and caserecce.
Basil, Frantoi Cutrera extra virgin olive oil, “Cosacavaddu” cheese, Sicilian almond, Sicilian pistachio, salt, cane sugar, acidifiant: lactic acid (E270).
